Washing & Caring Instructions T-shirts/ Sweatshirts with our products
To ensure the longevity of heat transfer garments, wait 24–48 hours after application before washing to allow the adhesive to fully cure. Wash inside out in cold water with mild detergent, avoiding bleach and fabric softeners. Tumble dry on low heat or hang to dry, and never iron directly on the design. For iron-on patches, using a commercial heat press ensures a permanent, lasting bond.
Key Care Instructions
- Initial Wait: Do not wash or heavily wear the garment for at least 24 hours after pressing to allow the adhesive to cure.
- Washing: Turn the garment inside out to reduce abrasion. Use cold water and a gentle cycle.
- Detergent: Use mild detergent; do not use bleach or fabric softeners, which can degrade the adhesive.
- Drying: Tumble dry on low heat or hang dry.
- Ironing: Do not iron directly on the design.
- Dry Cleaning: Do not dry clean
Each package will receive their own instructions!
TROUBLE SHOOTING TIPS:
When peeling off the carrier sheet, if it’s not easily releasing, carefully lay transfer sheet back down and press again.
Whenever you peel the paper off and if it's giving any resistance and not peeling off smooth and easy, do NOT keep pulling the paper off. You can rip the ink doing that and you will ruin your print; Simply stop peeling when you feel or see any resistance and lay it back down, adjust heat and/or pressure, and repress.
Pro Tip: If you go to peel a print and it’s not fully releasing nice and clean off the film, use something to protect your hand from the hot print, like the excess shirt fabric you’re pressing, and rub over the print firmly, pressing it into the shirt fabric, but quickly so the print doesn’t completely cool, and try peeling again! You can then cover the print with parchment for a second press to really seal the print
A HEAT PRESS WITH EVEN PRESSURE AND EVEN TEMPERATURE IS REQUIRED TO USE THESE TRANSFERS. It is NOT recommended to use an Easy Press, an HTV RONT, etc with our products. These presses DO NOT have heavy pressure options, which is needed for screen prints and patches.
Anytime a print is giving issues with pressing, the resolution is always pressure, time, and/or temp. Pressing instructions are a guide, as every heat press is different and you HAVE to get to know YOUR press and the settings it prefers.
Screen print transfers can be used on any color garment. 100% cotton, and poly/cotton blends recommended.
